Re: Yongsan Food
I normally go to Subway (one at Dragon Hill, one at the Town House).
My wife likes Taco Bell, also at the Town House (Main Snack Bar). We are cheap. The daily Town House special is usually a bargain, $4 to $5. You have to try the Navy Club once. They have a brewery there, and atmosphere. The Mexican Place downstairs at the Dragon has menu or buffet, and some days has ribs on the buffet! We go there for birthdays or anniversaries. Filling and Varied & Reasonable. Big Burgers. If you are not cheap, Greenstreet at the Dragon is nice, and I love the Saturday morning Buffet/Breakfast. The other place there has black Angus and Lobster and other such goodies for people who enjoy service and don't mind high price. We have friends who eat at either of the Outbacks-one in Itaewon and one a long walk from Gate one. ( Itaewon has a Subway Sandwich shop, too, but we like places where washing hands is a requirement for employees.) I can't recommend Commiskey's by the Golf Practice Range. The bar and the Chili is good. Outside in Yongsan Train/Subway Station there are lots of clean restaurants upstairs. Japanese, Korean, Lotte Burgers, Ribs, Oriental. Seven floors of shopping - Korean expensive stuff, some medium priced stuff, two bookstores. A great place to spend a day of inclement weather! E Mart in the basement-groceries in lower basement. Bring your own bag or pay 700 won. |

Re: Yongsan Food
If you are looking for stuff off base, just search under my name. I wrote mini-reviews for a good number of places around town, and I went to quite a few more besides that, so if you are looking for something in particular just ask me and I will probably be able to tell you what sucks and what doesn't.
Mr. Joe covered the on post stuff pretty well except for Reggie's. Nothing on post is bad, fast food is fast food, but the regular restaurants are all pretty decent. |
