Help! A civy looking for turkey~ off base.

Wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. Specifically in the Itaewon/Yongsan/Hannam neighborhood.

Thank you!

I'm not sure exactly where it's located, or how close it is to your neighborhood, but I remember a Canuck friend of mine talking about buying some holiday bird meat at Costco.

Anyone else have an idea of where that might be located in relation to Harpeau's location? :)

Dee :)

I've heard there are 3 Costco's in Seoul...I just haven't been to any of them yet. I'll ask my hubby when he gets home.

I read that Hannam Market had them before Thanksgiving maybe they have them now. Here's their website.

And this link might be helpful too.

There's a Costco on Road/Route (whatever it's called) 42. It's the exit you would take if you were going to Seoul Grand Park.

There is a Cosco at the Yeongdeungpo-gu Office stop. Line number 2. Exit 3. Follow the map.

Talking Re: Help! A civy looking for turkey~ off base.

I read the subway map as Yeong deung po- Ku office stop as stop #236 onLine 2 (Green) (which is also stop#523 on Line 5 {Purple}).

Easiest way from Itaewon is line 6 (Brown) to Stop 622 (Hapjeong).
Change to Line 2 (Green)
Go South toward Sindorim TWO STOPS to STOP # 236
Go out Exit 3, using Doc's great map!

Happy Turkey hunting! (If you don't want to cook,I would check with one of the Popeyes Chicken places to see if they have Turkeys already cooked, like the ones on the Military Posts do.)

Or you can go from Iteawon line 6 to Gongdeok. Transfer there to line number 5. It is a short transfer. Then take it to Yeongdeungpo-gu Office. Exit 3. It is the same number of stops from the guy about. I just know that it's a shorter transfer.

Re: Help! A civy looking for turkey~ off base.

I want to thank everyone for their helpful suggestions.

Here's an update:

A friend of mine in the military kindly picked me up a lovely butterball turkey, yesterday. It is presently cooking in the Weber BBQ.

BTW, my wife and I are members of Costco. We usually go to the Sangbon branch. The thing is, they don't always carry turkeys.

Finally, I'm just wondering if anyone has the phone number for the Yongsan Army Base Popeys? A friend told me that I could order a turkey approx. 5 days in advance and that they'll rendevous/deliver it over to the the gate.

Thanks again for everything.

BTW, I've got a 10% discount on HUGE acoustic & classical guitars for military until the end of 2007! There is also a discount on guitar consultation. Until the New Year~ it's $20 and a cup of joe instead of the regular 30,000 won. I'll take you to Nagwon Arcade in Seoul and help you get a nice guitar for an awesome price. Get a hold of me if you want more info.

Cheers!
