Fuji Sushi Restaurant
I saw an ad for this place when I was staying at the Storks Nest. Is the sushi any good there? Are the prices decent? It's at the US Embassy Association if you haven't heard of the place and want to try it out.

Re: Fuji Sushi Restaurant
Never been there, but I did go to a Sushi place right outside the Balsan subway stop that was quite tasty (although not too cheap). If you take exit 3, it is right there at the top of the steps basically.

Embassy club is up behind the Burger King on Yongsan, same building as Quiznos.
It opened after ssnapier left. I have not talked to anyone yet who has tried it. |

Re: Fuji Sushi Restaurant
The embassy club was there when I was there, did they add stuff inside there?

Re: Fuji Sushi Restaurant
I'm sure somewhere in Korea they make good, authentic sushi.
But after living in Japan for several years and eating Japanese sushi (even the stuff I ate at the "fast food" sushi joints was really good), I just can't warm up to Korean made sushi. It just isn't the same to me. And something I quickly discovered in the States...many sushi restaurants are run by Koreans - not Japanese. Some of them hire real McCoy Japanese sushi-men though. |

Re: Fuji Sushi Restaurant
I gave up trying to find decent sushi here. The ad caught my attention and I thought I'd give it a try the next time I'm on base there. My husband finally got his orders to his next duty station, Ft. Wainwright. I'm thinking that the sushi there isn't the greatest either. Although, I have been surprised in the past. Some of the best sushi I've ever had, was at a restaurant called Musashi in Charlotte NC. I've had sushi in Japan and in some nice restaurants in LA, among other places, so that's saying a lot.

Re: Fuji Sushi Restaurant
Musashi is a pretty big chain, that is quite interesting!

Re: Fuji Sushi Restaurant
Yes, I wasn't specific enough. The Sushi place is inside the Embassy Assn.
(The Embassy club has been here for years. We called it the Civilian Club in the 70's.) |

Re: Fuji Sushi Restaurant
Never heard of the chain. This place isn't part of it. I hope I got the name right. I haven't been there in several years.

Re: Fuji Sushi Restaurant
My husband went there for lunch yesterday and said the food was really good. A little pricey but really good.
