contractor positions

does anyone know how i can find a contractor position in Yongsan?
I'm not quite sure who to contact. Someone told me to go to a CPAC office on base but when i got there they told me they don't handle contractor positions.
Thanks!

Re: contractor positions

Hmm....

It's possible some of the positions at pharmacies are contractor positions. But they probably hire local nationals to fill them. But that is entirely a guess.

You would probably have better luck looking for a civil service position as a pharmacist in Korea. I found one such position:

Re: contractor positions

Willie is right. A Pharmacist spouse friend in Yongsan was told that there were no openings recently, and that they hire Koreans. Keep watching USAJOBs, though.

Re: contractor positions

I don't want to intrude on jungah's thread, but I was also wondering what are the best places to look for contractor positions other then USAjobs.

I'm currently a Java programmer with a TS, but have never been in the military. From what I've seen, most of the computer positions in Korea are for system administrators.

Thanks in advance.

Re: contractor positions

For those of you looking for contract positions, your best bet is to go directly to company websites, such as:

Booz Allen Hamilton: http://www.boozallen.com/
SAIC: http://www.saic.com/
L3 Communications: http://www.l-3com.com/
Lockheed Martin: http://www.lockheedmartin.com/

Here's a site with the 2007 Top 200 Federal Contractors: http://www.govexec.com/features/0807-15/0807-15s2s1.htm

Good Luck in the search!

Re: contractor positions

Thought I'd like to add since I posted in this thread about a month ago. I finally found a programming job within my company (Booz Allen) so I'm getting relocated out there in May. You should definitely check out those sites that bvm suggested.
